1. Is telehealth effective?

Over the last 10+ years there has been a significant amount of research showing that services delivered via tele-communication are as effective as in-person treatment.

2. Who can benefit?

Individuals of all ages can receive online consultations. Treatment is provided either between specialist and patient, or with a support person to help during the session. This is extremely beneficial as individuals who need more guidance (Eg- children or elderly) need it in all aspects of their life. This provides the opportunity for the specialist to educate the family, guide them in techniques, provide demonstrations and give feedback to the support person so that they can implement the suggestions in everyday life.

3. How does it work?

We've made it easy for you so there's no back and forth phone calls or texting. Your specialist will fix a virtual appointment that is convenient for you. Details of the same will be shared with you. Video-conferencing platforms (like Zoom, Google Duo, Google Hangouts, MS Teams etc) are used to deliver the services. At the time of your appointment, click on the invitation sent by us to start your session.

4. What do I need?

You will need: Laptop or Desktop with webcam or phone or tablet (any one of the four devices) with internet access, headphones/ earphones with mic. Individuals who are not familiar with video-conferencing would benefit from having a support person (any family member) sitting with them. This person will be guided by the specialist on how to help!
